The Call Home
Acrylic on Canvas
40 x 30 x 3
The week before my Dad died when he was in the hospital, a nurse told my stepmom, Bette, that they found him standing and staring out the window in the middle of the night. He hadn’t stood or walked in days. The following morning, he had no recollection of the incident.
When Bette shared this with me, I had a vision of Dad standing before the window hearing the call of his people, letting him know it was his time to come home.
